"Emerge" is a ceramic shade resting on a hand-turned pecan wood base. The work symbolizes transformation and renewal, new life arising from sin and the emergence of a reborn believer. The pecan wood, reclaimed from a burn pile, embodies redemption and resurrection; what was once destined for destruction is reshaped into something purposeful, beautiful, and whole.
This act of reclamation parallels the spiritual process of rebirth, where death gives way to new creation. The butterfly forms represent transformation, growth, and ascension, molded and continuously raised into the light, fully realized and restored with each encroaching form.
